There were A LOT of cars that I looked at leading up to the GTI. I kid you not, I spent the last three months seeing cars EVERY weekend and test drove several. Until finally, it lead me to purchasing this big green beauty. Hate it or love it, I'm a huge fan of the GTI and I'm now a believer of hot hatches! One of the main reasons why I decided to choose a GTI over domestics is largely because I wanted to try something new. I wanted to get excited about cars again and be in that learning phase. I'm not saying I knew everything about American sports or muscle cars but I knew enough to where I could carry conversations with people easily. However, the German scene, I knew hardly anything!
