Description: An incredible and memorable day fishing white marlin (kajikia albida) with my family. My sons' caught their first white and I caught my first one with a spinning reel. The fish was caught about 40 nautical miles offshore Algarve coast in Portugal, probably one of the best Billfish destinations in Europe. My old friends Capt. Manuel Viana and Hugo Siva and the their new boat Punta Paloma are among the top. Their passion for fishing (matches mine) but their skills and knowledge in big game fishing surpass all mine. Capt. Manuel Viana and his team were the protagonists of this journey with my sons (of course). All 5 Marlins were caught & released, a circle hook was used and 4 Marlins were kept in the water to maximize its chances of surviving after release. This video is part 1, next video is about the second fish of the day also the first Mariln for my oldest son.
