Description: After visiting a village in Pakistan and eating food cooked straight from the farm, we stopped by to see where all the excess produce is stored. At that farm, we saw potatoes being harvested, and this is the warehouse where they end up. Excess vegetables are stored in huge air-conditioned warehouses, called cold storage, so they can be sold throughout the year. The temperature of cold storage can reach as low as 1°C. Keeping the vegetables at the right temperature reduces the risk of damage and extend their shelf life.
