Description: See an interesting demonstration of an inexpensive and fast way to learn more about the soil quality where you hunt. This will show that it is not how much rain you get but it is how much rain you keep! Shown in this video: An infiltration test that estimates the rate at which runoff will infiltrate, or pass through, native soil. An infiltration test, in essence, involves digging a hole, pouring in water, and measuring the drop in water level over time. Conducting an infiltration test is an important step in early planning on any food plot planting. Proper infiltration testing can provide insight into the subsurface conditions on the food plot. Soil infiltration testing can be done at various locations across the field to get a sense of how the entire area will react to a downpour and runoff. @GrowingDeerTV #foodplots #TeamOutdoors #deer
