Description: Hey everyone! Let’s end this year with a classic :) After the AC/DC video, I wanted to play another classic rock song. But instead of playing it along to the original track I did it my way…in 8-bit! :) Guns’n’Roses were one of my first influences back in the days and I’m glad that they’re finally back - although neither Steven Adler nor Matt Sorum are there, too bad :( Anyway, this is a new video for you and another chance for me to experiment with drum tuning, drum sounds, recording and mixing. I’ve never really had a snare like that before and it was a good challenge for me to try to reproduce that 80’s drum sound…in a small room like that! I’m talking about the legendary Bell Brass that I just got (huuuge thanks to Tama and Mogar Music!). I’ll definitely test it out more in the future, maybe with some Nirvana (Dave Grohl) and Metallica (Lars Ulrich) which used it a lot in the past, I know you want it! :) :) :) Regarding the drum parts, as you can see/hear I played it as it is on the original song. No crazy fills, no overplaying, just what Steven Adler did and just what serves the song. Same thing for the drumset, simple rock'n'roll "old school" setup with...more cowbell! :-D This can easily be considered as my first "real" drum cover.
