Description: We booked an “Off Road Adventure” excursion with Vallarta Adventures. We cabbed to Vallarta Adventures for 9:30am where they provided a continental breakfast. We explored the Mexican wilderness in a Mercedes-Bens all-terrain vehicle. We first stopped in a town called San Jose Del Valle to visit a leather shop, a tortilla factory, and shop at a local market for some vegetables to later make a salsa for our tacos. We then ventured to a chocolate garden called Planeta Cacao. We saw how the chocolate was made, and were able to purchase some goods. We then ventured into the forrest for an hour long nature walk - it was SO hot out, I’m glad I brought an umbrella. We were served beer and then made tacos from scratch and tasted some local fruit. The trip ended with an amazing late afternoon lunch at Hacienda La Cruz - a beachfront restaurant. Our guide was with us and served us the entire time - Vidal was AMAZING. We had guests from France, America and Canada and spoke fluent in all languages. We were dropped off at our hotel to end the day trip. For Dinner we went to Don Emilliano which is the main buffet in the hotel (also used for breakfast). No shortage of food here.
