Description: U.S. Marines with Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR), Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment (BLT 2/6), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct a live-fire range in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations. In Djibouti, LAR Scouts conducted live-fire training with LAV-25's Light Armored Vehicles during day-night operations, as well as integrative training with French partners on April 3-4, 2018. Then they moved on to Jordan where the LAR Scouts conducted small arms live-fire training during exercise Eager Lion on April 17, 2018. The 26th MEU trains to sustain expeditionary readiness across a range of critical capabilities both afloat and ashore in order to be prepared to respond to crisis in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations.
