Description: Overnight thunderstorms produced numerous upward lightning flashes to TV towers across the St. Louis metro on Friday night, July 9, 2021, Captured on 1,500 frames per second slow-motion, 4K 60FPS and DLSR still cameras. Multiple towers were hit simultaneously, with one flash producing strikes to 6 towers at once. Upward flashes consisted of positive leaders triggered by in-cloud flashes and nearby positive cloud-to-ground flashes. Video also shows in-cloud and downward positive cloud-to-ground lightning flashes. Copyright Dan Robinson.
