Description: Starting on a 600cc supersport is already intimidating enough. 120-130+ horsepower and weighing only a tad over 400lbs, sportbikes can be wickedly fast machines on the streets. However, imagine adding another 60, 70, 80+ horsepower and DOUBLE the torque all throughout the powerband. Yikes. That's what you get when you upgrade to a 1000cc supersport. Modern 1000s are track weapons; some even come from the factory already equipped with goodies that their superbike or motogp counterpart has. For sub 20,000 USD, these monsters are a force to be reckoned with. This video is about my experiences upgrading to a 1000 only a year after riding and owning a 600. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the stories. Would I recommend a 1000? Absolutely. Is it for the faint of heart? Heck no. You must be either an idiot or a thrill seeker to own one of these speedy toys.
