Description: This Airbus A380 tried to land at Düsseldorf today during storm Ylenia. The crosswinds caused a very instable approach with a pretty interesting landing of this massive airplane. I am always mesmerized by the fact that this heavy airplane can be thrown around like a feather in the wind when its stormy. The A380 wasn` t able to align with the runway before touchdown which resulted in a very interesting drift on the runway after touchdown. Storm Ylenia caused lots of chaos in germany today. All pilots in this video demonstrated their skills and this video is an amazing example why pilots have to train crosswind landings multiple times before they put this into practice. I also included other airplanes I filmed today during the storm. Especially the Canadair Regional Jets with the engines at the rear end had to fight with these south - western crosswinds and I even filmed a Dash - 8. Sky Alps is currently the only airline which operates the Dash8 to Düsseldorf.
