Long queues of vehicles can be seen at petrol stations and drivers in most places can purchase only 10 liters of fuel at a time. In Kyiv on Sunday some petrol stations closed because of the shortage while others had only diesel. "There is a deficit caused by Russian Federation's strikes on oil depots", Kyiv resident Taras Volovodenko said. His previous attempt to buy fuel on Saturday wasn't successful, so he came Sunday, spending a few hours in a queue that was almost a kilometre long (0.62 miles). He also is worried about changing fuel prices, as the Ukrainian parliament is going to cancel zero excise duty and increase taxes for it. "Nobody will be able to pay 50 hryvnias for fuel and that's why everyone is trying to buy it with the old price of 36 hryvnias," Volovodenko said. At the same time, Ukrainian authorities have asked citizens to use more public transport to economise on petrol but others have said there are places that they can only access by car. =========================================================== Clients are reminded: (i) to check the terms of their licence agreements for use of content outside news programming and that further advice and assistance can be obtained from the AP Archive on: Tel +44 (0) 20 7482 7482 Email: info@aparchive.com (ii) they should check with the applicable collecting society in their Territory regarding the clearance of any sound recording or performance included within the AP Television News service (iii) they have editorial responsibility for the use of all and any content included within the AP Television News service and for libel, privacy, compliance and third party rights applicable to their Territory.
