Some of you have been watching me for a while and know I spent a little time performing and travelling around Russia and that I have close friends both there and in Ukraine. I've been in contact with most, but not all of them. As far as I can tell everyone is safe for now. Most of the folks reading this I assume will be from western countries, and to you I have just one ask. When gas/oil/petrol prices inevitably go up after cutting off from Russian exports, don't complain. It's such a tiny sacrifice in comparison and truly the least we can do that will actually make a difference. If you want to go above and beyond, reach out to your representatives and tell them you think it's worth it and that they'll have your vote for being brave enough to do something unpopular here to help people there. But at the very least, just don't complain about it. To my Russian friends reading this, I can't imagine the pain and confusion. I think I speak for most of us when I say nobody blames you for any of this. We are not our governments. That said, не бояться. вставать, if you have the courage. I honestly don't know if I would, but we the masses hold all of the power if we decide to exercise it. To my Ukrainian friends, there are no words. You've united seemingly the entire world with your defiance, not that you ever had a choice. In two days you've earned respect for generations. I'll be on the first flight to help you rebuild.
