Description: Mr Batzilla went on a rescue this morning and came home with this pair of Little Broad-nosed microbats. Found this morning by a homeowner after he opened his pool umbrella, the other occupants of the umbrella flew off leaving Mary and Marty behind. It is thought that microbats have more than one roost site available and this would be the best case scenario for the umbrella dwellers. Fortunately, there were no kookaburras, magpies, butcherbirds, currawongs, crows or cats around as all of the aforementioned will readily devour microbats if they are found. Weighing in at 7.3 grams and 8.4 grams respectively, Mary and Marty should be able to return home soon.
