Description: Heavy Coal Train Crossing Railroad Trestle Up High & Train Flies Through Reverse Curves! CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroad trains in Ohio. These trains are north of Portsmouth, Ohio at Greggs Hill between Piketon and Waverly Ohio. Norfolk Southern and CSX have lines that parallel each other for a short distance. Detroit Toledo And Ironton Railroad also went through here before the railroad was abandoned. All 3 railroads were right next to each other at Greggs Hill. You can still see the DT&I right of way and I found a couple of old telegraph poles and a couple glass insulators. A few years ago I filmed the very last Barnum & Bailey Circus train here passing through in a major rain storm. The day that I filmed this video it was very windy. I was going to film an NS train first but the CSX coal train surprised me. I heard it on 160.230 so I hurried over for the best spot to film it on the trestle. After that I went back to the Norfolk Southern line. While I was in my truck I started picking up chirps on 452.9375 from the End Of Train device ( EOT ). I heard the NS train passing a defect detector on 161.190 so I found a good spot on the S curves and also used the radar gizmo to check the train speed. A scanner is a must for this area. You can really get a good warning of a train coming and you will know which line it is on. Without a scanner you will hear a train when it is almost here and you won't know which line it is on.
