Description: Designer Rachel Morrison of Denise Morrison Interiors gives Rick Spence a tour of her client’s Spanish Colonial-style beach house in San Clemente, California. Outside, a rooftop patio covered in antique terra-cotta pavers features an outdoor kitchen, bar, fireplace, dining area and lounge, all with jaw-dropping views of the Pacific Ocean. In the kitchen, stain-grade cabinets feature some fronts with laser-cut woodwork that creates a uniquely textured detail. A cream-and-blue mosaic tile backsplash coordinates with other Moroccan influences found throughout the home, like the arabesque-patterned tile backsplash in a spacious bar area off the living room. Morrison also discusses her approach to creating a cohesive lighting design and highlights details in the master bathroom and bedroom and two guest bedrooms.
