Gazelle We have Gazelle on number five. To avoid predators, gazelles rely on their speed. Gazelles can sprint up to 60 miles per hour in short bursts and maintain speeds of 40 miles per hour. The horn of a gazelle is large and pointed, and it may readily pierce a predator. Predators may injure themselves as a result of their powerful defensive system. Gazelles are elegant, slender antelopes found throughout Africa and Asia. They are related to goats, cattle, and sheep and look like deer. Gazelles prefer to wander until they become agitated. Gazelles 4. Buffalo On number fourth, we have Buffalo. Lions are buffalos' main predators. They are far more vulnerable, with a top speed of about 57 kilometres per hour. But how will they be able to protect themselves? Compared to a lion's 20+ hours of sleep each day, African buffalo sleep for only a few minutes at a time, for a total of around two hours per day. This helps to avoid abrupt awakenings. Buffalo have a keen sense of smell, and even a whiff of a lion will send them running. Their vision and hearing aren't as acute, but a lion's roar may be heard up to 5 kilometres away, which helps. Males and females both have sharp, curving horns that extend from the sides of their heads and are used to defend themselves against predators. 3. Giraffe Next, we have Giraffe on our list. Although giraffes are more inclined to flee than fight an encounter, they are not entirely vulnerable. Giraffes protect themselves by kicking with either their fore or hindfoot against predators. The giraffe's most potent defensive weapon is a hard kick delivered with its front foot, capable of killing a lion. 2. Zebra On number 2, we have Zebras. Predators like to eat zebras not because they are simple to catch, but because hunting a fully grown, healthy zebra is extremely difficult. Because zebras have the capacity to defend themselves, they are particularly hazardous prey for predators. They're considerably more aggressive and dangerous than you are. They can bite, and their kick is one of their most effective protection methods. They have a far more powerful kick than a horse and can kill a lion with a single hard kick. 1. Warthog On number one, we have a Warthog. Warthogs are one of Africa's most adaptable prey animals. The legs of warthogs are longer than those of other pigs. They generally build a hole called a burrow, which they use to hide from possible predators. Warthogs are not scared to battle and are adept at dodging and escaping. The tusks of a warthog are effective defence weapons. The upper tusk may reach a length of 60 cm while the lower tusk can reach a length of 13 cm.
