Description: Tiger vs Hyena! Who will win if they go head to head! These wild animals are both strong predators, but who is stronger if they go head to head? How do they attack? What is their lifespan? Are they endangered? Will the Tiger or Hyena come out on top?! SUBSCRIBE for the latest videos: goo.gl/7xzjzR Where do these creatures live? Tigers have a diversified habitat. The wild cats live in jungle-like rainforests, grasslands, savannas, and mangrove swamps worldwide. Tigers live across Asia and Europe in 13 key countries. They can be found in Nepal, China, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. These places house wild cats. Hyenas are equally widespread when it comes to their habitats. They can be found in savannas, grasslands, woodlands, forest edges, and sub deserts. What are their populations? The Tiger population has reduced by 97% in the last Century. Based on the information provided by the wildlife organization, 3,900 tigers remain in the wild. India has seen an increase in the numbers and currently houses three-quarters of the tiger population. There are about 10,000 tigers in captivity in the US. There is still a lot to be done if the population increases tremendously. Are these creatures endangered? There are eight species of tigers, and three of them are now extinct. At the start of the Century, close to 80,000 tigers were roaming India, and now the global population is about 47,000. The primary cause of this was trophy hunting and a taste for tiger rugs. How many are killed in a year? There are about 124 tigers killed each year. Due to their numbers being low, it is possible that the animals could be wiped out completely. A report from 2019 suggested that 2300 tigers have been killed and trafficked in this Century. These killings and trafficking are illegal, and the states where tigers live are encouraged to strengthen their protection. What do these creatures eat? Tigers are carnivorous mammals that prey on others in their surroundings. They prefer large prey like elephant calves, wild boars, and deer. Tigers may not end there; they occasionally kill and eat humans they meet. Eating humans is not typical for tigers, and they often do it when they are tired, old, injured, or ill. They cannot catch their usual prey and supplement their meals with humans in that state. How easy is it for them to find food? The Tiger can fast when there is no food, so they are often not rushing to get food. However, the Tiger, a top predator, has no struggles finding food. They can bring down any animal they attack, which explains why they only settle for large prey to satisfy them. Finding food has never been a struggle for tigers, who can eat melons and cucumbers for the moisture if they do not get the prey they want. How long do they live A tiger in the wild lives averagely between 8 to 10 years. The longest a tiger can live in the wilderness is 15 years, and this is due to an inconsistency in meal supply and working for the food they eat. Water could also be a problem wherein some deserts; go four days without water. In captivity, where there are no natural threats, access to medical care, and regular food supply, a tiger can live up to 25 years. Who is a bigger threat to humans? Tigers kill between 50 and 250 humans each year, and an estimated 373,000 deaths were attributed to tiger attacks in the last Century. While humans are not desired food for tigers, they can kill them when they cannot satisfy their needs. The tigers usually defend themselves from humans who threaten their territories. Who hunts these creatures? Tigers are high up in the predatory league, and they endure very few predators due to their survival skills. Humans are the leading predators of tigers. The great size and strength of elephants and buffalos can be to the Tigers' disadvantage sometimes, although they can defend themselves when it comes to it. Hyenas are the prey of lions. A male lion could be twice the size of a Hyena, and once they fight over prey, the Hyena could be in trouble. A single paw stroke kills a hyena in many instances since lions are four times heavier. How fast can these creatures go? The Tiger weighs hundreds of kilograms but can reach 65 km/h or 40 mph. They do these runs over short distances and retire quickly. While not sustaining their run for long, it is easy to find a tiger leaping. In one leap, they reach 9 to 10 meters or 30 to 33 feet. The Speed and leap combined to make them unbeatable when catching prey in full flight. The Hyena runs as fast as it needs to go. The top speed is not the goal but the endurance. The hyenas can run fast for a long distance, and they usually run at 60 km/h or 37 mph. The Speed of the Hyena helps them achieve the status of a versatile predator since they can outrun all other prey without getting tired. They hunt 3 to 5km in pursuit of prey.
