Description: This ONE TEST Can Tell If You're Using The Right OIL!! In this video I perform a very easy test to tell what the internal condition of my engine is. As we all know, without a healthy engine our vehicles are next to useless. This test will tell if your engine is in good shape or not and if perhaps you've been using the correct oil over its life. Incorrect oil type and levels can lead to catastrophic failure of an engine over time. Always consult your manufacturers recommendations to find the correct weight and type of oil and amount needed! This compression test can tell a few different things. The first of which is the condition of your piston rings and cylinder walls. With excessive wear on the cylinder walls and/or piston rings your engine won't be able to keep proper compression and will be very lacking in power. The second thing a compression test can tell you is if your head gasket is compromised. With a blown head gasket you'll notice anti-freeze in the oil and lower compression since the gasket is no longer providing an adequate seal in that cylinder.
