Description: FREE Guide: glm.tips/dl FREE Webinar goodlightmag.com/webinar-yt DISCLAIMER: Before trying out this technique make sure your table is rated for the weight of your model. In this video you will learn a little hack that you can use with a shoji screen (also called Spanish Wall) to make it more versatile for your future photo shoots. Specifically, I’d like to share how you can use an affordable small prop to shoot your model — against the screen — in a seated position. But let’s back up. In a recent video, I demonstrated how you can use a shoji screen to create an impressive studio background when working in a small space. If you haven’t watched that video, I recommend that you check it out over here: youtu.be/t9qbHMbVsW0 OK. If you are using a shoji screen for your photos, you recognize that it provides the feeling of a clean, posh room. What you can do is add a small table to your photo shoot. For some of my previous shoots, I used a little bedside table that I purchased from Ikea (specifically, a table from the LACK series). The table is inexpensive, easy to handle, and is very light. It is sturdy enough where a model can safely pose on top of the table. It is small, but just big enough that a tall woman can pose on top of it.
