Description: For many people, James Cameron's Titanic was a cinematic marvel when it hit screens in 1997. The film about The Ship of Dreams not only set box office records, but was recognized with a number of prestigious awards including the Oscar for Best Picture and Best Director. Though the ending we saw in theaters was much different than what James Cameron shot. This alternate ending was a big shift in tone, and could have ruined an otherwise perfect movie. Sometimes directors have to make tough decisions when editing a movie.
