Description: It’s Netflix’s most unhinged reality dating show yet. The Ultimatum had us hooked. But was that a good thing? The entire concept of the show was the biggest red flag. Having couples break up, date new people in front of each other, live with a stranger for three weeks — in the same apartment building as their original partners, going out partying with the people now dating their “exes,” and then throwing the original couples back together for three weeks before making them choose between marriage or breaking up? What could go wrong, right?! And where are the therapists?! It is the definition of chaotic and maybe even toxic. And we aren’t entirely sure if this is a healthy way for couples to get on the same page when it comes to making lifelong commitments. Sure, the pressure leads to the couples making important decisions about their relationships. But you can’t help but think there’s a much easier, healthier way to go about this. The red flags were noticeable to us, so why couldn’t the cast members see them? We will outline all the red flags we saw throughout the course of the season that captivated all of us.
