It wasn’t just a few weird kids though, as Japan became backlogged with cases of pink eye spreading throughout the youth. Doctors were interviewed about potential spread of chlamydia and eventual blindness. As it turns out, this story was far more distressing than it seemed, because none of it, not a single detail, was true.
