The car in today’s video is such a case. We’re going to analyze the design of the new 2022 BMW 2-Series Active Tourer. I'm going to let you know my honest opinion of it and also show you the big problem with BMW design in general today before I redesign it. We’re going to focus on the front in this redesign, I’ll tell you why in a minute. A lot to cover so let’s jump in! Looking at this design, it’s clear it’s a front-wheel drive package just by the proportions and height of the hood and front end. The outgoing 2-Series AT was the first BMW to feature front-wheel drive when it arrived in 2014. It never made it to the U.S. and neither will this new model but it was still popular enough in Europe for BMW to launch this second generation 2-series AT. The size and proportions are very similar to the outgoing model but with new powertrain options. The top of the range model at launch will be a 223i hybrid with 214 hp, however more powerful models will arrive later on in 2022 with the 225e and 230e plug-in hybrids. These will both be all-wheel drive as standard with power outputs of 241 hp and 321 hp, respectively. In addition, they will also feature a 16.3-kilowatt-hour battery giving the new 2-series AT an all-electric range of around 30 miles. Every new 2-series AT will feature a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic as standard. ★My second channel: youtube.com/bembli ★My sketch course: analogdesignerpropack.com ★MERCH Hats, Tees & More: thesketchmonkey.com ★Get exclusive content on my Patreon: patreon.com/thesketchmonkey ★The books, art supplies and equipment I use: amazon.com/shop/thesketchmonkey Thanks for watching!
