Description: There are moments in RPG and fantasy video game story telling that strike harder than a feral tonberry. But this Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers moment, the arrival at Amaurot created by Emet Selch is single handedly one of the most conceptually amazing lore drops I've experienced. For an MMORPG story to craft such a thought provoking, inspiring yet tragic concept blows my mind. The ending of Final Fantasy Shadowbringers is bound to be a good one but I had to talk Amaurot and Emet Selch before the ending descends. A god tier concept that had this peasant curled into existential crisis. Never expected the story to tie in the lore of hydaelyn, zodiark, eikons and the ascians so beautifully.
