Description: Landscape photography has some amount of copying. But there's photo immitation and there's straight up theft. Don't be this type of photographer. Visit: squarespace.com/brendanvanson My Camera Gear: bit.ly/BvSGear All types of photography face copying and imitation. But landscape photography is especially susceptible because, well, landscapes don't move. But it's one thing to go out and look for a photo composition someone else did once and another to go up to someone and steal their photo. I call these types of photographers "vultures", other photographers call it "comp stomping". Either way, if you want to be a good landscape photographer, you need to learn to find the great compositions yourself. Sticking your camera on top of another person's camera only works so often. #landscapephotography
