Description: When you’ve been together long enough, you [might] subconsciously find yourself assuming your partner already knows what you need on a day to day basis. I found myself getting frustrated with my husband because some of my needs weren’t getting met some days. My therapist helped me realize this simple truth: he ain’t gon know unless I tell him 😩🥴 I said “oh!” 😂💀 When my husband and I processed through this together, he let me know that some of his needs weren’t being met some days too. And the moment we made a commitment to be open & honest with each other about what we need for the day, everyday…things changed. It takes grace, humility, open ears and an open heart to really serve one another in this capacity. But it truly is one of the biggest keys to a happy marriage ❤️ #blacklove #marriage #love
