Description: At the turn of last century, a group of young men on holidays were for some reason discussing the supernatural in the lobby of their hotel. One youth named Sanford was claiming that ghost stories were often badly written, and even inaccurate. In particular, when the hero screams and nobody hears them. He expressed the opinion that if he were frightened, to the extent of his hair turning grey overnight which is often described, he would definitely scream loud enough to be heard from any distance. Several of his friends, as well as the hotel clerk, agreed with him. In a dark corner behind the stove sat a man, hunched over his knees, silent, and apparently unknown to any of the other guests. At this point he looked up, cleared his throat, and remarked in a strange, husky voice that the statement was nonsense...
