But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any competition.Two years later, and the true Blue Blur is back on theater screens, and this time he’s bringing a few of his friends - which opens the door for a LOT of familiar faces to possibly pop up in the future. As any even casual Sonic fan will be able to tell you, Sonic has amassed himself a truly impressive cast over the years, owing to having decades worth of games, comic books and cartoons to his name. And while many of his friends and enemies have all sorts of wacky powers and abilities, Speed in particular seems to get passed around like the common cold. Whether we’re talking friends and allies, love interests, evil doubles, robots or even complete outlier characters, every now and then another speedster pops up on Sonic’s world, whether he’s currently residing on Mobius or Earth. None can surpass good old short, blue and fuzzy of course, but some of them have some really great claims to speed, and others still have very creative ways of picking up quite a pace using their other abilities to their advantage.
