I love that Canada was once part of the Underground Railroad that brought refugees to freedom... that we once helped others escape slavery and oppression. I love that we implemented universal healthcare so we would not abandon the poor to sickness... that we cared so deeply for one another we did our best to make sure none would suffer. I love that at one time we could have a different opinion and still be respected for it. I love that we supported our sciences which lead to breakthroughs like insulin and the pacemaker... Canadian contributions that, to this day, help hundreds of thousands world wide. We developed radar technologies. We invented the electron microscope... and yes... we invented table hockey. I love that Canadians fought to expand their rights... from women's suffrage to the charter of rights and freedoms. So to answer the question, "Do you still love Canada?" My answer is yes... I've never stopped.
