If you look around, most guys are wearing boots that are either black or some shade of brown. A few years ago, I made a video about what color boots, black or brown, are best. At that time, I said brown boots were my go-to (4:00 in). Nowadays, if I could only own one pair of boots I’d choose dark olive green. Why? Versatility. A versatile piece of clothing or footwear is interchangeable — it can be worn as part of many different outfits. If you like an item in your wardrobe, it fits well, and the color goes well with what you already own, you’re going to be able to get a lot of use out of it. When it comes to boots, once you find a pair of really cool, super comfortable boots you’ll want to wear them all the time (at least I know I do). You’ll get the most use out of boots that are a versatile color — a color that goes with practically everything. Most guys gravitate towards boots that are either black or some shade of brown.
