Description: This song is a summary of many events and conflicts involving many characters in our fantasy world. The World Stone is the centre of the world, and thus is viewed as the place “where the world began”. Upon the World Stone was erected a fortress where all races had sanctuary and where they could meet in peace. This was tainted however, by dark forces who seized the tower and made it a dwelling place and breeding ground of evil, desecrating the dead found beneath its sacred wall in the catacombs. The “Watcher of the Keep”, a cyclops Ogre took residence in the keep and for years was too horrid a creature to be reckoned with. Other vile creatures filled the walls and layers of dungeons above and beneath the World Stone. For clarity, there are 2 minotaurs in this chronicle: Korivar the good and Garkésh his evil brother. Garkésh has a lair wherein he allured the High King’s daughter the princess Tania to begin communicating with him through a forbidden means. She allows him access out of wrongful curiosity and when he opens a portal to his realm, she is lost. The High King discerns her whereabouts and immediately summons a champion of each race, to journey immediately to the World Stone, since each race will have unique power to fight against the forces of evil there. Only 5 of the races respond to the call: Man, Elf, Fairie, Dwarf, and Minotaur. The 6th hero joins the others after a fateful meeting at an inn. Our heroes are a group comprised of Branjegar the Dwarf, Lord of Hammerdeep and descendent of Boic Bravesoul. He joins Korivar the Minotaur, journeying through the deep, passing through the Forbidden Gate of Boic to reach the lowest sanctuaries of evil, wherein resides Korivar’s evil brother Garkésh. On the surface journey Ahnmaron the human ranger from his forested home, the Elven Paladin Rythrael from his ivory city, Elwyn the Fairie from her mossy glade to the World Stone. As evening approaches, they all cross paths on a road close to an inn known to house Dwarven merchants. Inside is Oshrjad Bonebreaker who joins them after the events that occur there. He is thus the sixth “unchosen” champion. There is more to be written, but perhaps another time… We wrote the lyrics, composed, arranged, sang the piece.
