Description: Notes for a film-that-never-was. Notas para una película nunca realizada. Two years ago I went to Indonesia to take notes for a film. The project never was done… but there was something in the experience itself that made me come back to the rushes, so I decided to put these images into dialogue with the verses in "Song of Myself" by Walt Whitman. The result is a travel diary, a meeting with wild nature, ancestral rites, a cross between the spiritual and the animal, the look of someone who deals with the unknown in the search for oneself. Hace dos años fui a Indonesia con la intención de preparar una película que nunca llegué a realizar. Pero había algo en la experiencia en sí misma que me hizo volver sobre las imágenes que grabé. Decidí confrontarlas a las palabras de Walt Whitman en “Song of Myself”. El resultado es el diario de un viaje, el encuentro con la naturaleza salvaje, los ritos ancestrales, el cruce entre lo espiritual y lo animal, una mirada que se enfrenta a lo extraño en la búsqueda de uno mismo.
