Description: Esa-Pekka Salonen first conducted the Philharmonia in 1983, and became Principal Conductor in 2008. Over the years, he's led us on some of our most exciting musical adventures. He steps down after this evening's concert, and we've created this compilation of highlights, reminiscences and messages from our players to mark the end of an era of thrilling music-making. Esa-Pekka's last two concerts as Principal Conductor, featuring pianists Yefim Bronfman and Mitsuko Uchida and music by Beethoven, Sibelius, Bach and Stravinsky, are available to watch on demand from 24 & 25 June.
