We are playing on a Hungarian Cimbalom, which was made in 2010 by Pavel Vsiansky in the Czech Republic. The Cimbalom is a similar instrument to the Yanqin, Hackbrett, Santur, Dulcimer and Tsimbaly but it is the largest of this family. It has a range of nearly 5 octaves, is fully chromatic, has a damper pedal, and is played with wooden mallets usually covered in cotton wool. Josh has studied the Cimbalom over numerous trips to Hungary and the Netherlands and has studied with Jenő Lisztes, Giani Lincan, Miklós Lukács, Kálmán Balogh, Jenő Sörös, Sándor Kuti, and Viktória Herencsár.
