Description: Soya chunks coated with spices, corn flour and egg, shallow fried in low flame. It is then garnished with tomato and onion base with spices. The taste is awesome. Try it out. For more yummy recipes visit: youtube.com/c/sreenathrecipes facebook.com/SreenathRecipes sreenathrecipes.blogspot.in twitter.com/malluadukkala in.pinterest.com/sreenathrecipes Ingredients Soya Chunks – 1 cup Finely sliced onion – 1 Sliced tomato – 1 Red chilli powder – 2½ tsp Black pepper powder - 1½ tsp Corn flour – 2 tbsp Egg – 2 Ginger garlic paste – 1½ tsp Fennel powder – ½ tsp Coriander powder – ½ tsp Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp Salt – to taste Oil – to fry soya chunks Process 1. Boil 3 cups of water in a pan and add a little salt 2. When it starts boiling add 1 cup of soya chunks 3. Cook it for 2 minutes over medium flame 4. Turn off the flame, cover it with a lid and keep it aside for 20 minutes 5. Now strain the water and rinse the soya chunks in fresh water 6. Again strain the water. Repeat the process for 3-4 times 7. Now squeeze the soya chunks and transfer it into a mixing bowl 8. Add 1½ tsp of red chilli powder, ½ tsp of pepper powder and a little salt 9. Mix well 10. Now add 2 eggs and mix gently 11. Add 2 tbsp of corn flour little by little and mix well 12. Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a thick bottomed skillet or pan over medium flame 13. Now shallow fry the soya chunks 14. Turn it over and fry the other side also 15. When it turns light brown turn off the flame and take it out and keep aside 16. Heat 2 tsp of oil in the same pan and sauté 1 thinly sliced onion, a little salt and 1 sprig of curry leaves 17. When it turns translucent add 1½ tsp of ginger garlic paste 18. Sauté this for sometime and add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, ½ tsp of coriander powder and ½ tsp of fennel powder 19. Sauté this for a few seconds and add 1 sliced tomato 20. Sauté this for 2 minutes and add 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup 21. Mix well and add the fried soya chunks 22. Mix well and cook this for 2 minutes 23. It is ready. Turn off the flame 24. This will go well with rice or chapati
