Description: South Korea’s newly elected president Yoon Suk-yeol has promised an audacious plan to strengthen North Korea’s economy in exchange for denuclearisation. He took the oath of office earlier today (May 10), after joining politics less than a year ago. Mr Yoon heralds the country's first conservative administration in five years. After the inauguration, Mr Yoon and his wife were welcomed outside the presidential office in Yongsan, which was the defence ministry under the previous administration. He has called the Blue House used by all his predecessors a symbol of imperial power.
