Description: As the year comes to an end that can only mean one thing, we’re discussing our top picks for Sneaker of the Year 2021! Let us know your sneaker of the year in the comments below. This year has seen some HUGE releases. From the latest Nike x Sacai collaborations to an incredible amount of Yeezy drops, from the New Balance ‘Protection Pack’ to the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2, we really have been blessed this year when it comes to high-heat sneaker releases. But which one will be crowned Sneaker of the Year? We have a number of contenders in our office for Sneaker of the Year. The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 was a favourite latecomer, with the story and design of the trainer really putting it above the competition. Keeping within the Netherlands, we also can’t forget about the incredible Parra x Nike Dunk Low we saw in summer. 2021 really was the year of the Dunk and this is one of the best! We also have a couple of Jordans making our list, with the Jordan 4 ‘Lightning’ and Jordan 1 ‘Seafoam Green’ being personal favourites of ours. Another release that can’t be overlooked is the Nike x sacai x Fragment collaboration which we all loved. You definitely can’t beat the classic ‘Wolf Grey’ colourway. With this being the last vlog of the year we also wanted to show you some of the footage that didn’t quite make the cut. We’ve been filming for the vlogs for almost half the year, so there’s definitely a lot of hidden gems that we couldn’t manage to fit in. To finish off the year on a bang, we were also paid a visit by the one and only Mr Lee (@mrleelives) to present us with another strong contender for Sneaker of the Year. Released alongside his NFT collection, ‘The Hero’s Journey’, this 1 of 1 Air Force is handpainted in incredible detail.
