Description: On Thursday March 16th, Mojang released the first major Java Edition snapshot for Minecraft 1.19: The Wild Update! In this snapshot video we gear up in Survival to search for Frogs in Swamps, and the new Deep Dark biome where Sculk blocks cover huge sections of the terrain. Does the Warden appear in this snapshot? We go to the Deep Dark and find out! Along the way, we try out the new sound option for 3D Directional Audio simulation. Switching to creative mode, we try building with new Mangrove Wood, which has a new texture since we last saw it at Minecraft Live 2021. Mangrove doors and trapdoors are awesome, and it even has boats! Mangrove comes with root blocks and muddy roots, a new leaf block and its own unique sapling mechanics. The snapshot also introduces mud, which can be crafted into packed mud and used to make mud bricks, which have slab, stair, and wall variants. Java Edition also gets to play with Frogs, which were previously only seen in Bedrock Edition Betas and previews.
