Description: The all-new Skoda Octavia Combi MY20 fails the moose test. 72 km/h is the approval limit, and the Octavia does not reach it. The car also handles the 70 km/h in a bad manner, the ESC isn't working enough to get the car through safe. The competitor (see video) is approved with a good margin. Read more about this issue at bit.ly/2yHK2pA The Skoda Octavia Combi TSI 150 weighs 1.555 kg. The competitor in the video, Toyota Corolla 2.0 Hybrid TREK, weighs 1.590 kg. Teknikens Värld have been performing moose tests since the 1970s. Our test became world famous when the all-new Mercedes A-class turned over in 1997. Since then many, many cars have passed the test, but quite many have also failed, some of them by performing the evasive maneuver really bad, for example the Toyota Hilux (twice) and the RAV4, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and many more.
