Description: Last week we made a backup camera using (basically) a webcam and a raspberry pi! But we can't just leave it as a video stream. We have to add some way to detect how close an object is to the car so that we know if that evil clown is close enough to run over or not. Most current cars either just use a simple image overlay with a distance ruler, or they use external sensors that can detect objects within range. But I'm a nerd...I want to see if I can write a program that can detect objects and how close they are without the need for external sensors! Will I succed? Will I fail? Is the evil clown dead? Watch to find out (except for the evil clown)! ____________________________ ππππSHOUT OUTS ππππ ____________________________ Special thanks to hackster.io for their support of this video! _____________________________ π²πππ² IMPORTANT LINKS π²πππ² ______________________ Project Page - hackster.io/projects/8641ca _____________________________ π°π°π°π° SUPPORT THE SHOW π°π°π°π° ______________________ tinkernut.com/donate _____________________________ π€π‘π€π‘ SUBMIT YOUR IDEAS π€π‘π€π‘ ______________________ tinkernut.com/ideas ____________________________ π’π’π’π’ Follow π’π’π’π’ ____________________________ redd.it/5o3tp8 instagram.com twitter.com/tinkernut facebook.com/tinkernut
