Buy this lens if you want the most reach you can get at a reasonable price. But it is heavy and I find it front heavy - works best on gimbal. Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VXD $1,399 BUY - bhpho.to/3xhzkyI Weighs 1724 g (3.80 lb) and is 210 mm (8.27″) long I really enjoyed using this Tamron on my Alaska Photo workshop but I struggle to recommend it over the new Sigma - it’s slower with f/6.7 at 500mm but it does give you a good range in a lighter 20% lighter and shorter lens. Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS $949 BUY - bhpho.to/3viJxcK I think you should add the price of the tripod collar at $130 Because it doesn't come with bringing this to $1079 Weighs just 1135 g (2.50 lb) and is 197 mm (7.76″) long By far the lightest and smallest zoom lens in this group- image quality is still very good but you do start to see some autofocus differences between this lens and the others, it is not as fast and it is a bit slower with a max aperture at f/6.3 at 400mm- I am a little more reluctant to recommend this lens for wildlife and action but I love using telephotos for landscapes and this lens does just fine there.
