Description: In this video we will look at how to replace a trashed diaphragm and voice coil on a Shure SM57 microphone. Shure makes a replacement part called the R57. They also offer a "repair" service where most people indicate means they send you an all new SM57 to replace a broken one. Also you can buy a couple different Chinese replacement parts for it, but we'll go with the cheap one which costs about $5 or $6. We'll also talk about how to spot a fake SM57 and not get ripped off.
