Description: In Gujarat's Kachchh, the last few kms of the 357 km long stretch, that branched off from the Narmada main canal and was pending on account of a host of reasons including delay in land acquisition –is due to be completed this month. Once operational, water from the canal will irrigate farmland in Mundra, Mandvi and parts of Gandhidham. The stretch of the Kachchh irrigation canal, which became operational in 2015 has transformed the lives of those regions and farmers are looking forward to the same transformation once the stretch gets completed in their area.
