Till now, We know the Galaxy S22 would be Codenamed "Rainbow",  the lineup will come with faster hardware, improved cameras, thinner bezels, and would even have an S Pen with dedicated slot on the S22 Ultra. Now today ,a new report from leakster FrontTron suggests, that one crucial hardware feature will be missing from the S22 series, which would be the microSD card slot. But, thus is not the first time the microSD card slot being absent from the Samsung flagship, infact this feature has been missing since the Galaxy Note 20 ,and wasn't present on the Galaxy S21 series as well. So it seems ,the Good Old days of MicroSD card slots are coming to an end, Largely because of the Ultra fast internal storage used on current flagships, has made these storage extensions mostly obsolete. In fact, microSD card slots might actually be detrimental to your overall experience, as they drag the write/read speeds all across the board, and 'slow down' your phone. But still ,such factors would only be noticeable to a power user, while the most normal users would still prefer a microSD card extension.  The Galaxy S22 series is expected to come with 128GB as a base storage option, but that would probably fill up rather quickly. But the rumored 256GB and 512GB versions ,would be the best way to future-proofing the next Galaxy flagship devices.
