We stop to see more giants and the old stomping grounds of Abe Lincoln. Some of the feedback we got last week was to use a paper map. Candidly, we wish we would have thought of that! It would have made for even funnier drama. That said, with over 1,000 miles of the ribboned road under our belts, a paper map would have been pretty tough to manage. But the historical signs are very helpful. It's funny how we tend not to appreciate history in the making. Over the years, the decommissioned road was slowly closed, removed, or altered.
