Description: so many folks are struggling with leash reactive dogs, and it's usually not JUST the reactivity that's the issue. A lot of the behavior starts within the home BEFORE you even step foot outside. What's your dog's mindset before the walk? Calm or crazy? Is your dog dashing out the front door, sniffing, marking and doing whatever it wants? Our protocols always start inside the home, and then we clean up small things on the walk like positioning etc. Usually all of these small events stack up to create not only a nicer walk, but a better state of mind for the dog. Then we can start addressing the small infractions like air scenting and hard staring (AKA loading) before the dog fully reacts. Timing is usually the biggest problem owners have when trying to stop leash reactivity in their dogs, and this video will break it all down for you.
