Description: Trijicon has been making their MRO® red dot sights for a long time, and they have proven extremely reliable, durable optics. A Miniature Rifle Optic on your AR-15 typically means your backup "iron" sights don't get much use. Trijicon has now released a new MRO variant, the MRO HD, and Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb Savant tells us what makes the MRO HD different from other MROs. "HD" means what you might expect: High Definition. The reticle is exceptionally crisp, and the lenses do not impart coloration to the image, so the MRO HD is optimized for use with a magnifier. Even if you don't use a magnifier, who doesn't want a clearer, crisper, sharper sight picture? More features: reticle switchable from a traditional 2 MOA dot to a 2 MOA dot surrounded by a 68 MOA circle/crosshair; 8 daytime and 2 nighttime reticle brightness settings uniquely laid out on the dial (Caleb explains); flush windage / elevation knobs (½ MOA clicks) that can be manipulated with a coin or the rim of a cartridge case (same for the battery cap). Standard robust aluminum sight body, with optional riser mount included that will absolute co-witness with standard AR-15 iron sights. Like all MROs, the HD has an excellent, wide, clutter-free field of view. More good news: aftermarket accessories are already plentiful.
