Description: Dear friends, Some weeks ago we announced a new video, and finally here it is. It took a little longer than planned, due to a very busy period. In this video we visit the Western Front. The last few trips we went to the Eastern Front, so we thought it's time to visit the other front for a change. This time we visited a location described by a German soldier, which sounded very interesting to us (fragments of it are featured in the video). Somehow the Eastern Front kept following us, because we actually found a Soviet PPSh-41, on the Western Front. Quite an odd find... It can of course be explained by the fact that the PPSh-41 was an smg that was popular among German soldiers (i.e. that they used it as captured gear, called Beutewaffen in German). There are some examples (photographs) of Germans using the PPSh-41, but so far we haven't seen a single one being found. Until now of course. Other finds were also interesting, though more expected. We found some 105 mm howitzer shell casings, loads of .50 caliber and .30-06 caliber casings, gas masks, tank tracks from the German Panzer IV or StuG III, and some other small finds, like Kar98 ammunition pouch, etc. We hope you will enjoy watching the video, as much as we enjoyed finding these traces of history. As always, nothing is for sale. Thanks for watching, feel free to comment and ask your questions. We advice to watch the entire video, from beginning to ending, but for those who don’t have a lot of time on their hands, or for those who are just interested in particular finds, here's the contents of the video.
