The key to this “3-note lick, 3-day challenge” is that it will progress you through new triad shapes while also demanding that you improve on your left & right hand coordination along the way. The lick consists of 3-note triads in the Major and Minor qualities. The triads are established within the format of a “I-IV-V” chord harmony. The lick is also technically challenging which means it will quickly build your fretting and picking hand technique while simultaneously increasing the way that you format the triad arpeggio patterns on the guitar neck. The way this 3-day lick workout functions is by first establishing your knowledge of the triad shape on the fingerboard. From there, you’ll play through the structure for a few minutes and attempt to complete each measure of the line as the harmony moves across the “I-IV-V” of the key signature. This allows you to memorize the way each pattern sits on the neck helping you commit the shape to your long term memory. Over 3-days of study, the technique for left & right hand will build along with your speed and accuracy.
