This is in fact not true. Originally the Pentagram was simply a symbol used to represent the human form. It was even adopted by Christianity to represent Christ's five wounds. Today it tends to be associated with evil, but in fact it is used in the Wiccan belief to represent the elements water, fire, earth, air and spirit. In other words to appreciate the natural world. Regardless how you view the Pentagram, at the end of the day it is just a star and a circle put together to make a visually pleasing shape and has nothing to do with the meaning humans choose to put onto it. This is how I view it.
